North Lake Tahoe Brewery

The plentiful supply of top-quality water combined with the beautiful landscape and unique culture that exists in the region makes Lake Tahoe a natural choice for many microbreweries. Some of the tastiest stouts, porters, IPAs, lagers and more are being produced in Tahoe's Sierra Mountains, and they're all available for your pleasure in the Lake Tahoe area.

Check out each brewery as you make your way through the Lake Tahoe Ale Trail! Many of the local restaurants in the region offer outstanding selections of the various craft brews and it's always easy to find a bartender who's willing to offer a flight of some of the favorites.

North Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts/Stats

In winter, North Lake Tahoe is transformed into one of the world’s premier ski and snowboard playground. Enjoy nine world-class ski resorts with over 22,000 skiable acres of winter adventure. The majority of the ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe region are on the northern end of the lake, near Truckee, California. Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly are located on the southern side of the lake.

Scattered throughout North Lake Tahoe are public and private sled parks. Some, such as Granlibakken are equipped with rope tows to help sledders get up the hill. Many ski areas around North Tahoe also have snow tubing, such as Squaw Valley. Throughout North Lake Tahoe, cross-country skiing, snowmobile riding and snowshoeing are also popular.
